after much distress and experimentation, this is finally complete <3 and I much like the effect. The letters are cut out of chiyogami paper, so nothing there's digitally added ; ) the girl is Kamiizumi Yasuna from Kashimashi, who definetely should have ended up with Hazumu in the end! *humph, humph* But she had such a great character, I decided to paint a tribute ^_^ here's to you, Yasuna! A "jian" is a bird from Chinese mythology that only has one wing and one eye. Two jian must fuse together to create a whole bird, and if one half should falter or die, the other is soon to follow. Yasuna is that bird, but failed to 'fuse' with Hazumu at the end of the series. I wonder what happened to her afterwards... =< |
